Co-optimization of distribution system operation and transmission system planning: A decentralized stochastic solution

چکیده
The distribution system is normally equivalent as a dynamic power injected at the interconnected transmission bus. This cannot unlock potential benefits of transmission–distribution interaction. To tackle this problem, paper proposes distributed stochastic optimization approach to simultaneously determine operation and planning. Uncertainties in systems are modelled using numbers typical scenarios. original problem decomposed into upper network planning level lower one. Both two levels linearized piecewise linearization guarantee convergence properties algorithm. Simulation results investigated on integrated T24D9 testify high performance presented framework. With coordination systems, solution decreases investment improves renewable energy recommendation.

Optimal Solution in a Constrained Distribution System
We develop a method to obtain an optimal solution for a constrained distribution system with several items and multi-retailers. The objective is to determine the procurement frequency as well as the joint shipment interval for each retailer in order to minimize the total costs. The proposed method is applicable to both nested and non-nested policies and ends up with an optimal solution. To solv...

In this paper, the development and optimization of Power Distribution Control Strategy (PDCS) have been performed for a Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (HESS) of a Series Hybrid Electric Bus (SHEB). A common PDCS is based on the use of Ultra-Capacitor (UC) pack. A new simple PDCS is developed as a battery based one. For the battery based PDCS, four parameters ar...
متن کاملA New Generation Allocation and Expansion Planning Algorithm Including Transmission System Effects
Generation Expansion Planning (GEP) is one of major modules of power system planning studies, normally performed for the nex 10-30 years horizon. The current industrial practices are to find the generation requirements based on a nodal analysis. In this way, the allocations are not determined and subequent studies are required to find the exact locations which as decomposed from the earli...
